Scientific paper

Photoelectric B and V observations on 35 nights during three outbursts and the quiet state of the dwarf nova SS Cyg are presented and discussed. It was found that the change of luminosity and the change of temperature during the outbursts are in all observed cases similar. The energy of the outbursts varies from outburst to outburst owing to their variable durations.
