The properties of black holes are discussed, with special emphasis placed on how a space voyager could penetrate to the center of a black hole. An extreme Kerr black hole has mass and spin, and its angular momentum is at the upper limit for such a compact body. This type of black hole has an event horizon which has the property of being bounded by two timelike (navigable) regions. Penrose conformal diagrams are used to illustrate both the features of a black hole and the paths a space voyager is permitted to follow into its center. Also discussed are the complications effected in the simple picture of black holes if possible past and future normal and antiuniverses are considered.
