Spectroscopic observations are described for three of Kazaryan's (1979) UV-excess galaxies: Nos. 31, 119, 236. The spectrum of No. 31 contains H1, Na I, Mg I, Fe I absorption lines; Nos. 119 and 236 show H I, forbidden N II, forbidden O II, forbidden O III, forbidden Ne III emission lines. Equivalent widths are determined for all the lines identified. No. 119 differs from normal E galaxies in having emission lines; the emission regions evidently occur throughout the galaxy. Nos. 119 and 236 are practically dust-free.
