The helium, heavy elements, and dark remnants produced by a pregalactic Population III are quantitatively discussed in terms of the distortion of the microwave background spectrum measured by Woody and Richards (1979, 1981), the generation of the whole microwave background, and the furnishment of the oldest metals found in the galaxy. To produce the spectrum, zf (redshift at which objects cease to produce radiation) must be in the range 150-225 and B (background enhancement) in the range 0.2-0.4. Through a derived equation, it is concluded that the distortion exists, but to obtain accurate helium and heavy element concentrations, the mass function must be flat and extended to super massive objects. There are several models which give the required amount of heavy elements and helium, implying the whole generation theory and explaining the distortion theory, and giving the correct helium yield. In two models, where the radiation requirement on Population III is assumed as being minimal, an initial metal content of 2.51 x 10 to the -3rd helium solar masses can be provided. To further test the role of Population III, improved measurements of the spectrum of the microwave background near the peak are suggested.
