A method for the simultaneous determination of chromium and cobalt in rocks by neutron activation is described and results on a set of rock reference samples supplied by the National Bureau of Standards are reported. Strontium was also determined in the same materials by an emission spectrographic method calibrated by isotope dilution determined standards. It is suggested that National Bureau of Standards reference materials be used for interlaboratory comparisons and checks of accuracy.
