The theory of the formation of polarized maser radiation is refined for the case of H2O masers. To obtain a degree of polarization greater than about 50 percent, magnetic field induction must be greater than about 0.1-1 G. A field induction of about 10 G is required in models of H2O maser pumping (Kylafis and Norman, 1986). It is concluded that these are different reasons for a new estimation of magetic field induction in close proximity to very young stars, surrounded by remnants of parent matter from which planets are formed.
