The rotational transitions of the C4H radical (X2Σ+) in the lowest bending state, ν7, and its overtone state [2ν7, l = 0(Σ) and 2(Δ)] were observed by laboratory microwave spectroscopy and were analyzed to determine the molecular constants. Based on the observed and calculated frequencies, 22 previously unidentified lines in IRC +10216 are assigned to transitions in the ν7 state. Furthermore, the series of line doublets recently detected by Guélin et al. toward IRC +10216 is definitely assigned to transitions in the 2ν7(Σ) state.
