Three molecular clouds with regions of star formation, NGC 2071, Cep MC-1 and W3, are studied through observations of three transitions of HCO+ and H13CO+ with different telescopes, yielding comparable resolution in the respective transitions. The J = 1-0 transition was observed using the Onsala Space Observatory 20 m telescope with a resolution of 42 inches, and the U.S. National Radio Astronomy Observatory 11 m telescope at Kitt Peak with a resolution of 76 inches. The J = 3-2 transition was observed with the Millimeter Wave Observatory 5 m telescope in Texas with a resolution of 72 inches.
