Star Formation, Deuteration
Scientific paper
At the current stage of massive star formation research it is crucial to find objects prior to the formation of hot cores and ultracompact HII (UCHII) regions. The evidence for so-called pre-proto-cluster cores - cold condensations on the verge of or already collapsing - is still missing. This led us to use the BIMA interferometer and the SCUBA array at the JCMT to search for secondary, cold condensations in the fields toward known UCHII regions. Here we report on a follow-up project to study the deuteration in the found massive cold clumps using NH2D/NH3.
