The interstellar (IS) clouds show a high degree of complexity appearing as a strongly non-homogeneous distribution of matter. Different points of view have been proposed to explain the mass distribution of these IS objects, the most successful being the hierarchical and the fractal ones. At present, the fractal view of the ISM is gaining consensus because of both the improved observing capabilities and the progress in the simulations of supersonic turbulent motions in the ISM. Here we present an attempt to observational quantify the structure of the dark globule CB 107 by means of some statistical methods applied to multiwavelength observations of this object. We also compare the results with those obtained for another cloud of different size and galactic position and for a synthetic "fractional Brownian motion" (fBm) map.
