Atmospheres of terrestrial planets are generated by a gravitational capture of protoplanetary disk gas and impact degassing of accreting material. The composition of atmosphere is closely related to the composition of accreting material, but it is also affected by chemical reaction between atmosphere and solid planet and atmospheric loss processes. Our calculation demonstrates that the early atmosphere of terrestrial planets would contain a significant amount of reduced species and H2O. Since such an environment satisfies the conditions for harboring a life in view of the chemistry, there would be lots of planets that harbors a life.
