This is Part 1 of a test designed to evaluate NICMOS parallel observing on orbit.In this part we will look for spurious noise in FPA data potentially induced fromoperations of the filter wheels during detector readouts. In Part 2 (SM2/NIC 7136)we will look for spurious noise in FPA data potentially induced from parallel readouts.This proposal is intended to satify SMOV requirement F2.5.4.1.2."Independent operation of the three cameras shall be demonstrated.Independent operation is {defined as} the ability to perform eachNICMOS camera operation without regard for the operational state ofother cameras. This pertains to filter-wheel positioning, integrationoperations, read-out modes, and data storage." These requirements areflow down directly from CEI Specification 3.2.1.1
