It is shown that numerical modeling can adequately reproduce the structure of the nighttime equatorial F-region under extraordinary conditions connected with the anomalous behavior of the longitudinal component of the electric field. It is demonstrated that the behavior of this component can be determined by the adaptation of modeling data and the observation of the F-region maximum height.
