The generation of radio waves in the plasma of a pulsar magnetosphere is considered, given the inhomogeneity of the dipole magnetic field. It is shown that for longitudinal waves and the resonance case, taking into account the curvature of magnetic field lines leads to the decrease of the analogous growth rate related to the case RB tends to infinity (RB being the curvature radius). In the nonresonance case, calculations show that for longitudinal and electromagnetic waves, the growth rate of the electromagnetic waves, the growth rate of the instability is of the order of 1/to (to is the time of carrying plasma outside the light cylinder). However, the generation of electromagnetic waves by Cerenkov resonance is possible. Estimations show that the development of this instability is possible only for pulsars of age greater than 10,000 yr.
