The processes of distribution, acceleration and energy losses of cosmic rays in the vicinity of molecular clouds are investigated. These investigations are connected with the observations indicating the increased cosmic ray density inside molecular clouds. The necessary conditions for cosmic ray acceleration are determined. The form of particle spectra is calculated in energy ranges where an acceleration or energy losses is the main factor. In the frame of the model of particle acceleration inside molecular clouds, the nature of unidentified gamma-ray sources and anomalies of chemical composition of cosmic rays are explained.
