Modeling of interaction between the solar wind and the Earth's magnetosphere in the approximation to magnetic hydrodynamics is discussed. The problem is to solve a system of MHD equations of a compressible conducting liquid, which describes an interaction between the interplanetary magnetic field and the magnetic field of the Earth, as well as the dynamic structure of the plasma flow near the magnetosphere. A physical possibility of MHD motion requires that the velocity field and the magnetic field satisfy kinematic and dynamics conditions of motion possibility. These conditions make it possible to select only real motions among a variety of kinematically possible motions. It is shown that the conditions of the dynamic possibility of motions are met automatically for MHD flows of incompressible liquids of the type considered in the problems of Parker and Sonnerup (1973) and Sonnerup and Priest (1975).
