The effect of Faraday rotation is shown to lead to the appearance of linear polarization of stellar radiation in the optically thin electron-magnetized shell of hot stars, even when the shell is spherical. The position of maximum in the polarization spectrum is used to determine the magnetic field on a star surface. Using this method, the surface magnetic fields of Be, TTau and Herbig Ae/Be stars are estimated. The results of direct measurements of magnetic fields of hot stars are discussed.
