Scientific paper

An improved method of evaluation of luminosities of OB stars from uvbyβ data is elaborated. The method is calibrated in the photometric distance scale defined by the zero-age main sequence from the author's earlier paper and is tested by application to several clusters and associations. It is more accurate with respect to systematic errors in comparison with the known methods proposed by Crawford and by Eggen.
