On 24 June, the National Aeronautic and Space Administration announced major organizational changes that will affect the agency's Earth and space science programs. NASA Administrator Sean O'Keefe announced that a ``streamlining'' of the agency's functions into four mission offices will involve combining the current Earth science and space science enterprises into one all-encompassing science mission directorate.
