Further evidence is provided for a simple evolutionary model for radio pulsars. The model is shown to provide an excellent fit to the observed pulse width-characteristic age data, as long as a range of evolutionary time scales is allowed for. The model is also shown to provide a good fit to the observed pulse width distribution, in particular reproducing the long tail. Finally, the linear polarization gradient is shown to vary with the characteristic age in qualitative agreement with the expectations of the model.
