The compact double sources 1518+047 and 2050+364 were mapped using a three-element VLBI array at 610 MHz. The resulting component fluxes were used to confirm and refine the individual component spectra given by Mutel et al. (1985) based on two maps at 1.6 and 5.0 GHz. In both sources, individual components have very similar self-absorbed synchrotron spectra. For the source 2050+364, the component angular sizes appear to be significantly broadened by interstellar scattering. By comparing pulse-broadening measurements of the pulsar 2053+36, whose line of sight lies close to that of 2050+364, we deduce that most of the scattering occurs in a region of strong turbulence ˜0.5 kpc thick, possibly associated with the Cygnus superbubble.
