In a previous paper (Mészáros, 1984) the author proposed to describe Cartan's contortion by a spin-2 field twin. The behaviour of these fields is highly similar to gravity; contortion should determine a new interaction. In order to explain some geophysical data and the results of the old Eötvös experiment, Fischbach et al. (1986) proposed the existence of a fifth force. It is shown that the identity of contortion and of this fifth force cannot be excluded.
