The presently hypothesized influence of a pole-on binary on the
agreement between spectroscopic and astrometric gravities may furnish a
solution for those cases in which the spectroscopic gravity is greater
than the astrometric one. It is in particular noted to be a potential
solution for the disagreement noted by Hearnshaw for the case of 31 Aql.
