We are developing a computer model to simulate regional atmospheric circulations on Mars. The Fifth Generation Penn-State/NCAR Meso-scale Model (MM5) has been modified for studying Mars (MMM5). We are using the NASA Ames Mars General Circulation Model (MGCM) to provide the initial and boundary conditions for our various simulations. The version of the MGCM that is being used these simulations is described by Haberle. The MMM5 is using the same atmospheric radiation code as developed for and used in the MGCM. Additional information is contained in the original extended abstract.
