Optical monitoring of the recurrent transient V1333 Aql/Aql X-1 obtained with the 1.2-m Haute-Provence telescope shows that the source slowly declined in brightness over the past two weeks and that it returned to quiescence sometime between UT 26.0 and 27.0 June, the large-amplitude 19-h modulation being absent during the last nights. Publicly available 2-10 keV ASM Rossi/XTE X-ray data show the source dropped below detectability around June 20, after more than four months of moderate activity.
