In 2003 October, Okayama Astrophysical Observatory (OAO) announced the discovery of a giant planet orbiting a giant star. This is the first "Japanese extrasolar planet". The HIDES, a new high dispersion echelle spectrograph at OAO, has enabled us to carry out such kinds of studies using high-precision Doppler technique in Japan. In this article, we introduce our on-going project at OAO which is searching for planets around giant stars, and also present the recent results we have obtained during these few years.
