An analysis of the behaviour of the long and short GRBs in the BATSE catalog has been performed on the basis of the spectral hardness and peak counting rates. Some differences have been found between the two classes. Although it is not possible to completely exclude experimental bias effects, the different behaviours observed in the two classes support the idea that different physical processes are present.
