The phenomenon of quasi-periodic oscillation (QPO) appears to be common among black hole candidates (BHCs), as RXTE continues to discover new QPOs in more and more such sources. We will present new results on several BHCs from recent RXTE observations. We will show that the existing data has already begun to allow quantitative characterization of the QPOs and, thus, to demand quantitative models to explain the observed QPO properties. From the derived energy dependence of QPO amplitudes and the correlation between QPO properties and mass accretion rate, it seems clear that the QPOs in BHCs consist of a heterogeneous class of phenomena, although their origins are not known at present.
