The present paper deals with a facility that uses a digital television camera with an S.E.C. target to test photometers. The application of this facility to the testing of a new bidimensional digital photometer for the 1.5-m telescope of the Bologna Astronomical Observatory is described. An example of photometry to a limiting visual magnitude of 19.5 is presented.
