Results of bidimensional numerical filtering of astronomical imagery are reported; the bidimensional Fourier filtering techniques are applied to both reproduction and enhancement problems. An application of bidimensional numerical filtering to imagery of the M51 Galaxy yields an improvement in the signal-to-noise ratio. Filtering to enhance an axisymmetric visualization of the lunar surface is also reported.
