A new spectrophotometer has been used since August 1977 at the Cima Ekar Observatory. The system is based on a linear array of 128 photodiodes mounted at the focal plane of the grating spectrograph. This paper presents first observations performed with the spectrophotometer in order to demonstrate the performances and capabilities of the instrument. Three examples are presented: a bright star (Vega), a Seyfert galaxy (NGC 1068), and a planetary nebula (NGC 7027).
