Polarization measurements of the radio binaries UX Arietis and HR 1099 were made at 1400 and 2380 MHz for ten days using the Arecibo observatory 305-m telescope. Strong circular polarization, reaching 74% in one case, was observed for each star on at least one night. For each source, circular polarization maintained the same helicity throughout all observations. Linear polarization was relatively weak or absent on all nights. The polarization properties appear to be inconsistent with a fully relativistic synchrotron process, even in the presence of a weakly absorbing plasma.
