Assuming that the fifth dimension subspace in Wesson's gravitational theory is also homogeneous and isotropic like in the usual cosmological model, we find static solutions for the length's scale-factor, while other quantities of the theory may still vary, like masses, as in the “static” model of the conformally invariant theory of Hoyle and Narlikar.
