We apply the narrow-jet model (a quasi--one-dimensional MHD model for outflows) to the case of the SS433 jets. Since the observations do not yet provide enough information to distinguish between the different theoretically acceptable solutions, we use the model to obtain strict limits on the values of the characteristic parameters describing the environment at the origin of the jets. Using the observations on the value of the magnetic field strength at large distances we obtain limits for the value of the field at the origin and the period of rotation of the source. Using the observations on the length of the acceleration region, the value of the asymptotic speed of the jets, and energy constraints on the flow we obtain limits on the value of the temperature at the origin, the mass efflux rate, and the initial winding of the field lines. We compare our results to ones obtained by different theoretical models.
