I have obtained deep CCD images of most of the cataloged dwarf galaxies in the nearby M 81 group using the Michigan-Dartmouth-MIT 2.4m telescope at Kitt Peak. Nearly all of the data have been obtained in three colors (BVI), providing an opportunity to construct true-color images of the galaxies. Most of the CCD images were obtained in sub-arcsec seeing under photometric conditions. This poster presents a color atlas of a representative sample of M 81 dwarfs based on these new observations. The images are interpreted in terms of the star-formation histories for the various objects and correlated with the available data on the gas content of the systems. Virtually every general sort of star formation history one can imagine is represented in this sample of M 81 dwarfs, with the possible exception of a galaxy lacking an ancient population altogether. Structural parameters, integrated magnitudes, and broad-band colors will also be presented for these objects.
