The longitudinal range over which Pi2 pulsations are propagated at low latitudes is investigated and found to vary from one substorm to another. The results show that the longitudinal extent over which Pi2's can be detected varies from a narrow range of longitudes either side of the 23 L.T. meridian in some cases to almost all longitudes around the earth in other cases. The longitudinal range of propagation does not appear to be a function of substorm intensity.
