There was another small rise in the sunspot MDF in July. Activity during
the month varied from low in the first and last weeks to moderately high
in between. August saw a slight fall in the sunspot MDF. This was more
noticeable in the northern hemisphere, which was less active than the
south and was spotless from August 8 to 15.
