An inexpensive 1-m class spectroscopic telescope, constructed for ca. \$20K (less than half the cost of the fiber-fed spectrograph and detector!) is now acquiring objects and undergoing final alignment and operational development. We present an overview of the subsystems as they have evolved during development and the first results of the mechanical and optical performance of the instrument.
