By the means of a 1-d hydrodynamics code we solve the problem of the interaction of a galactic wind with cloudy surroundings. Compact and diffuse models are used in order to explain the mass and metalicity of the intergalactic gas and giant elliptical galaxies. The results are as follows: (1) The compact models fail to explain the observations, but the diffuse ones are in a good agreement with them; (2) the hot corona has been formed at the stage of the hot protogalaxy and remains in nowdays; and (3) the hot corona is richer in heavy elements than the second stellar generation and the intergalactic gas.
