Observations of slow flares in the Orion stellar association are presented. The slow flares, which are attributed to the release of energy below the surface of a flare star, were detected in 12 Orion flare stars, and the brightness and spectroscopic properties of the stars during the flares were determined. The light curves of the slow flares observed are also presented, and it is noted that despite the low probability of slow flares, only those kinds were observed in two of the flare stars, indicating the presence of extended photospheres.
