A detailed spectrophotometric investigation was made of the galaxy Markaryan 308, which exhibits characteristics of Seyfert type II galaxies. The profiles of the forbidden N II lines at 6583 and 6548 A, H-alpha line, forbidden O III lines at 5007 and 4959 A, and H-beta line were constructed. The electron density and temperature and the mass and effective volume of the emitting gas were determined. At the present time, the activity of Markaryan 308 is much less than that of other type II Seyfert galaxies.
