All solar EUV images are significantly degraded by diffraction from the entrance aperture and scattering from the micro-imperfections of the mirrors, with the latter leading to very long range effects covering the whole image. Since the scattering functions are not known, the correction presented here is a result of semi-blind deconvolution specifically aimed at removing the effects of the broad wings of the scattering. Our analysis utilizes the lunar transit seen by STEREO-B on 25 Feb 2007. We show that many structures, especially coronal holes and the off-limb, are dominated by scattered light.
