MAXI/GSC detected an X-ray brightening of the LMXB 4U 1608-522. The source flux has increased since the beginning of March 2, and reached about 20 mCrab in the 4 - 10 keV band on 2010 March 3 (MJD 55258). By combining this result with the detection of an X-ray burst by SuperAGILE (Atel #2461), we suggest that this source has entered into an active state. The multi-wavelength follow-up observations are encouraged.
