Using deep survey data obtained with the 3.6m Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope (CFHT) in good seeing, we studied the initial mass function (IMF) at the bottom of the MS band of the young open cluster NGC 2264. The shape of the IMF is flat between log m (M_&sun;) = -0.4 ˜ -1.0. The overall shape of the IMF is very similar to those obtained for the Pleiades or the Trapezium.
