Astrometry, Pulsars: General
Scientific paper
Positions of 18 pulsars were measured in 1994 March using the VLA, to determine improved proper motions for these pulsars. Combined with the results of Fomalont et al., these observations give a fourth epoch which more than doubles the time baseline, and hence improves the proper motions by about the same factor. The improved proper motions imply a mean transverse velocity for the sample of 230 km s^-1. Accurate positions are also given for two other pulsars, observed at the same time as the proper motion sample.
