The calibration of Mariner 10 color images used to delimit units on Mercury did not adequately remove vidicon blemishes. The calibration is presently refined, and the recalibrated data are interpreted in terms of the current paradigm of visible color reflectance for silicate regoliths containing iron. These mosaics represent the complete UV-orange color data for all of Mercury imaged by Mariner 10.
