An effort is made to learn more about the HED parent body (PB) and further constrain the extent of Mn-53 heterogeneity within the asteroid belt. By achieving these goals, it will be possible to determine whether the Mn-53-Cr-53 isotope system can be used as a chronometer for different asteroid belt materials by studying such other constituents of the HED PB as diogenites and both cumulate and several additional noncumulate eucrites.
