Hypothetical planets in orbits that are thermally analogous to that of the Earth, as well as planets in other temperature zones, have been initialized and tracked for 1000-100,000 years. The results obtained indicate that secondary stars perturb nominally circular coplanar orbits at stellar perihelion passage, causing the planet eccentricities and angular momentum to cycle over thousands of years as the planetary periastron precesses.
