We report on follow-up observations of a deep (75 ksec), ACIS-I Chandra field centered on the gamma-ray blazar 1156+295. We have imaged the entire field to deeper than B/R=26 in optical and have obtained K band (near infrared)imaging down to K=21.5 for the central 48 square arcminutes. We have also obtained optical spectra for all objects brighter than approximately R=20. Preliminary analysis shows the blazar itself to be in an X-ray low state with extended emission on the few arcsecond scale (perhaps due to a jet). The field also appears to contain several EROS (Extremely Red Objects, with R-K>6) that may be clustered. We present the optical and near infrared colors and morphologies for the faint background X-ray sources in the field, discuss the likely redshifts of these sources, and present upper limits on the X-ray fluxes of the lower redshift galaxies in the field that are not detected in X-rays.
