2S 1845-024 is a 94 s period transient X-ray pulsar which outbursts near the periastron passage of its highly eccentric (e=0.88), 242 day period binary orbit. It is likely that its unidentified companion is a Be star. The source's outbursts have occurred regularly for at least the last nine years. Evidence from pulse timing, the outburst lightcurve, and the spectral and pulse profile evolution during the outburst all suggest that an accretion disk is formed at the beginning of each outburst as the pulsar passes through the equatorial outflow from the Be star. We will present this evidence, and preliminary analyses of RXTE observations of the outburst expected in September 2000.
